Whether you are having anomalies in software, printer issues, or just random glitches in your remote session, every staff-person should know the various methods they have available to self-solve issues through logging off and back on. There are several ways to do this including:
- Using the Desktop icon "Log-Off" to sign out.
- Inside the remote desktop window you can press CTRL+ALT+DELETE (Windows) or FN+CONROL+ALT/OPTION+DELETE (macOS) to invoke the Windows Welcome Screen, where you can Sign Off your session or Change your Password.
- Inside the remote desktop window you can open Task Manager.
- On Windows, press CTRL+ALT+END to launch Task Manager.
- On macOS, this is FN+CONROL+ALT (OPTION)+Right Arrow to do the same.
Here you can End Task on problem applications such as those Not Responding. Click on Details tab, find the application involved such as OUTLOOK.exe, WINWORD.exe, MSACCESS.exe, etc....
If you hare having trouble logging off, you can also force a log off of your session using Task Manager: - File > Run New Task and try:
